Health Canada

Health Canada regulates cosmetics under the Food and Drugs Act and the Cosmetic Regulations. All cosmetics sold in Canada must be notified to Health Canada, and manufacturers must maintain a Cosmetic Notification Form with the ingredient list. Canada maintains a Cosmetic Ingredient Hotlist that identifies substances that are restricted or prohibited in cosmetics.
