Therapeutic properties and pharma…cassoside: A review.

This review analyzed research from 2005-2022 on madecassoside and asiaticoside, two active compounds from Centella asiatica (cica). The evidence shows these ingredients have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and wound-healing properties—plus potential benefits for collagen production, skin hydration, and scar appearance. That said, most of the strong claims (neuroprotective, anti-tumor) come from lab and animal studies, not human skin trials.
