α-Bisabolol, a compound naturally found in chamomile and other plants, showed promising antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties in laboratory and animal studies. However, most research was done on cells and animals—human studies are still needed to confirm whether these benefits actually work on real skin.
