Comparison of sulfur ointment and permethrin treatments in scabies.

Findings
This study compared two topical treatments for scabies and found that 10% sulfur ointment was significantly more effective than 5% permethrin cream. Sulfur ointment worked better across the board, and younger patients responded better to both treatments overall. The researchers noted that permethrin resistance might be becoming a real problem, which is concerning since it's the most commonly prescribed option.
