Findings
Gluconolactone and other PHAs deliver the same exfoliating and anti-aging benefits as traditional AHAs—like smoother skin and reduced fine lines—but with significantly less irritation. Unlike AHAs, PHAs also act as humectants (they hydrate), strengthen your skin barrier, have antioxidant properties, and work well with sensitive skin conditions like rosacea and even after procedures like laser treatment.
