This was a review study (not a new experiment) that examined how copper affects cancer cells. Researchers found that copper imbalances exist in various cancers, and a newly discovered process called 'cuproptosis' — essentially copper-triggered cell death — may help suppress tumors and overcome drug resistance. The review suggests that manipulating copper levels could be a promising new approach to cancer treatment.
