Findings

Researchers tested mica from Bangladeshi river sand and found it safe for skin—zero irritation in rabbit tests, heavy metals within safe limits, and no cancer risk. The mica gave products a silky texture and luminous finish, plus some types showed mild antibacterial activity against common bacteria like staph and salmonella.
