Findings
Researchers created a ferulic acid hydrogel (a topical gel formulation) and tested it on radiation-damaged skin in the lab and in animal models. The 10% concentration version performed best, significantly reducing inflammation and oxidative stress while promoting skin healing, collagen rebuilding, and blood flow recovery compared to untreated radiation injuries.
