Multifunctional fucoidan-loaded Z…ected wound healing.

Researchers created a microneedle patch infused with fucoidan (a seaweed extract) and zinc nanoparticles to treat infected wounds caused by drug-resistant bacteria (MRSA). In mouse studies, the patches successfully penetrated skin, delivered the active ingredients deep into the wound layer, killed bacteria, reduced inflammation, and promoted healing—all without systemic antibiotics.
