Findings
Lyral, a common fragrance ingredient, triggered allergic reactions in 89% of people who were already sensitive to it when exposed at normal cosmetic product levels. The study found that even low doses caused reactions in most sensitized individuals, suggesting current usage amounts in beauty products are risky for people with fragrance allergies.
