Findings

Gamma-mangosteen (a compound from mangosteen fruit) protected skin cells from UV damage better than other mangosteen types, boosting the skin's natural antioxidant defenses and reducing collagen-breaking enzymes by 29%. In mice exposed to UVB rays, it reduced signs of skin aging and helped maintain skin elasticity and firmness.
