Findings
This review found that bee products—honey, propolis, royal jelly, bee pollen, and bee venom—contain compounds with antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties that could be useful in skincare. Honey, propolis, and pollen showed promise for wound healing and fighting bacteria and fungi, while royal jelly had anti-inflammatory and anti-aging potential. However, this was a literature review analyzing existing research, not a new study testing these ingredients on human skin.
