Findings

Researchers created a two-layer wound dressing combining chamomile extract with silver sulfadiazine (an antibiotic). In animal testing, the dressing sped up wound closure, improved skin regrowth, and increased collagen production—meaning it actually helped damaged skin repair itself rather than just covering the wound.
