Findings
This review found that nanoparticles (tiny engineered particles) show promise as delivery systems for skincare and medicine—they can penetrate skin better and release ingredients over time. However, the authors emphasize a critical gap: safety and environmental impacts of these particles haven't been properly tested yet, and need specific toxicology studies before widespread use in cosmetics.
