Findings

Lingonberry is packed with phenolic compounds (natural plant chemicals) that showed antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties in lab and some human studies. When fermented, lingonberries appear to support healthier skin microbiome by encouraging good bacteria growth. However, the researchers are honest: most evidence is from lab work, and we need way more actual human studies before we can make real claims about skin benefits.
