Findings

Researchers tested pomegranate extract in a specially formulated gel on mice with skin tumors and found it had statistically significant anticancer effects compared to untreated controls. The study used nanoparticle technology to help the pomegranate extract penetrate skin more effectively. However, this was animal testing—human efficacy hasn't been established.
