Findings
Rambutan peel (the fruit's outer skin, normally discarded) contains phenolic compounds with potential anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties. The study reviewed how different extraction methods—from simple soaking to advanced techniques like ultrasonic extraction—affect the potency of these compounds. However, the researchers were clear that human studies are still needed; most evidence so far is from lab and animal tests, not people.
