Niacinamide - mechanisms of actio…use in dermatology.

Findings

Niacinamide (vitamin B3) can reduce itching, fight bacteria, calm redness, protect against sun damage, control oil production, and even out skin tone—but the strength of these effects depends on concentration. The research shows it works by controlling inflammatory pathways in skin cells. While it's generally safe and well-tolerated, there isn't yet enough clinical evidence to fully confirm all these benefits across different skin conditions.
