Researchers created tiny capsules (microsponges) loaded with rosemary oil that penetrate skin better than plain rosemary oil gel. In testing, this formulation improved hair length, thickness, and root size by 20-50% more than regular rosemary oil, and even outperformed minoxidil (the gold standard for hair growth) by about 50%.
