In postmenopausal women undergoing cervical screening, sea buckthorn oil suppositories used for 2 weeks improved vaginal tissue integrity and imaging quality compared to no treatment—performing similarly to prescription estrogen ointment. The improvement made the screening procedure easier to perform and more satisfactory, though this study focused on procedural outcomes, not treating cervical conditions themselves.
