Findings

Researchers created a new hyaluronic acid filler using lysine (an amino acid) instead of the traditional chemical cross-linker, which is less irritating. In a 50-person study, this new filler outperformed Restylane at the 12-month mark, with more volume retention, and it boosted collagen production and skin thickness with minimal side effects.
