The questions people ask most, answered in a line or two each.
I do: Jen Murphy, Chief Reader. Makeup artist since 1991, esthetician since 2005. About me
A card tells you what is in it and what the studies found. Your own skin, allergies and history decide the rest. For a reading of your own products, that is what The Read is for; for a medical question, see a dermatologist.
Either CIR has not assessed it, or its report has no studies on that question. An empty space means no evidence was found, not that the ingredient is fine or harmful.
Not reported: CIR's newest survey gave no figure for that kind of product. It does not mean zero. How much is in it?
Apps use different sources and different rules. The cards here name their source on every finding, so you can compare. How I read
I read the products on your shelf, every line of the label, and tell you to keep, toss or swap each one. Worth it? ($25, one product, back within 48 hours), Shelf ($150) or Overhaul ($300). The Read
