They are also constituents of essential oils. No botanical is listed for them to have come from, and whatever is behind the word “fragrance” is a trade secret. So we don’t know, and neither do you.
A brand that formulates with whole essential oils has to name these constituents. One that keeps its blend behind the word “fragrance” does not have to explain it. A longer list here often means more disclosure, not more risk.
